The week in review…

Got to play catch up here. It’s been a busy week and no time for blogging! So here it is in summary:

Monday: We went to dinner at Lori’s madre’s to celebrate her brother’s birthday. The thing about eating there is that it’s a buffet everytime we go. Dieting goes out the window as well as a concern for small portions. It’s so tasty though. This time around there were beans, rice, enchiladas, tres leches cake, salad and pork.

Tuesday: Lori and I celebrated our fortieth week anniversary. Every four weeks we go out on a Tuesday night to Paleys and Muu-Muus, two of the original stops on our first date. Sweet, no? The staples of the night are lemon drops at Paleys and a Muu-Muu burger.

Wednesday: We took her brother and his wife out for dinner at Besaw’s. It was a great time of engaging conversation where we mostly talked about parenting and children. It was good to learn that E is not as unusual as we sometimes think.

Thursday: I met my aunt at The Mission to watch Cloverfield. It was pretty good but it scared my aunt out of her chair a couple of times. I came home and Lori and I went to the gym for a couple of hours.

Friday: I think I am getting sick again because my throat hurts. I spent most of the day hacking up phlegm. So what would be the best course of action? A night out on two towns! First, we went to the Buffalo Gap to shoot pool for couple of hours. After that it was off to the Life of Riley Tavern for one drink that took about an hour because there seemed to be a shortage of servers. They have fries though that are worth the wait. From there we went to the Red Lion at the Quay in Vancouver to watch Lori’s coworker Ed play a gig. Ed, I gotta say the band was much better than I expected. Soul Vaccination brought Lori and I out on the dance floor for some really ugly dancing so you should be proud!

That’s all folks!

  2. yes, well, no not really. it could be better described as spastic reactions to music with no sense of timing or beauty.
