Hooray! It’s finally summer!!

Friday night we drove out to Willsonville to watch The Bee Movie on an inflatable screen in the park. We had already seen it but it was much more fun to see it out in the open with good friends and boat loads of junk food! Ezra and Mckenzie played tag for a while before the movie started.

I was dragged out of bed the next morning for a spin class to sweat off the 49 red vines and pizza I polished off the night before at the movie! Getting invited to weddings is my absolute favorite because it gives me an excuse to shop, and most of the time it gives me an excuse to eat free food and drink free booze! Sheila and Larry had their wedding reception out in Battleground. The heat was almost unbearable, but we had mojitos and AWESOME food to cool us off.

I have no clue who this guy is but he got up to do a champange toast and he was awesome! I especially like how he’s holding a champangne flute AND a drink!

We took off and stopped in at Virgo and Pisces with Rose and Sam then headed to Paley’s for a lemondrop and some dessert. This picture of Rose and Sam is really adorable. Perhaps there will be wedding bells in their future?

Because we didn’t bring Ezra along yesterday, we decided we would do something fun for him this morning. I made an awesome Caprese sandwich while the boys made turkey and mozzarella (both are tomato-haters!) and hiked up to Lee Falls in Cherry Grove. It was so hot that the 4 mile hike seemed more like a 40 mile hike. It was totally worth it after finally reaching our destination.

We even saw a cowboy resting in the shade!
